OCTOBER 26,2009

I woke up this morning feeling fine cause Heaven was on my mind.

Today I thought I would write and say when I was 10 years old I was at a neighbor's house and they were having preaching in her home.
I remember as if it was yesterday. The preacher went from room to room preaching and than after his message was through he gave an alter call. I knelt beside my chair and ask Jesus to come into my heart.

My mom took me to church and she told me about Jesus. I also learned about Jesus in Sunday school and preaching.

I had been in church all my life but you know I drifted away from Jesus when I got older and had to repent and rededicate my life to the Lord, and now I am looking for Jesus to come.

My desire is to be drawn closer to my Lord and I want to tell others about him and be a blessing to others and show them Jesus.

I want my light to shine for Jesus and I want to do more to win those that are lost.

I pray you have a good week and that you are looking for Jesus to.

Subject: All It Takes Is a SMILE!

ALL IT TAKES IS A SMILE!   All it takes is a smile to make someone's day, A nod of the head, a handshake To send them on their way All it takes is a smile and a little time to say I love you, To tell someone how much God loves them too, This is what Christianity is all about; Its self sacrifice and looking to the welfare Of others, putting someone else first All it takes is a smile; A simple smile will light up a whole room It will brighten even your darkest day It doesn't cost anything But it's worth more than silver or gold At the end of someone's way, It sparkles brighter than any jewel known to mankind Happiness is the smile on your face; And the gladdened heart of a new friend All it takes is a smile to bring intense joy, At least for a moment or two, Where sadness and pain have entered in It's a journey that will take you places You will want to be, So why not share what God has So freely given you and me? The U in Jesus

THE U IN JESUS

Before U were thought of or time had begun,
God stuck U in the name of His Son.

And each time U pray, you'll see it's true,
You can't spell out JesUs and not include U.

You're a pretty big part of His wonderful name,
For U, He was born; that's why He came.

And His great love for U is the reason He died.
It even takes U to spell crUcified.

Isn't it thrilling and splendidly grand
He rose from the dead, with U in His plan?

The stones split away, the gold trUmpet blew,
and this word resUrrection is spelled with a U.

When JesUs left earth at His upward ascension,
He felt there was one thing He just had to mention.

'Go into the world and tell them it's true
That I love them all - Just like I love U.'

So many great people are spelled with a U,
Don't they have a right to know JesUs too?

It all depends now on what U will do,
He'd like them to know,
But it all starts with U.

Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. Malachi 3:10

Have you ever been caught outside during a thunderstorm? One minute you're dry, and the next minute the skies have opened and you're drenched. That's how Malachi 3:10 describes the showers of God's blessings that will rain down on us from the windows of heaven when we give our tithes and offerings. These gifts were to provide financially for God's temple.
We would never consider ourselves to be criminals-thieves who steal from others. Yet God's Word tells us that if we hold back in giving our tithes and offerings, than we are like robbers taking what isn't ours.
Following God's plan for giving takes faith, trusting that God's promises are true. God's Word calls for us to "prove" Him because He will be trustworthy. If we open our hearts and our hands to give generously, thatn God might just catch us by surprise with a shower of blessings.

Father, remove anything in my life that keeps me from having a generous heart toward You.
